Program Dates: August 13-27, 2023

 

SIBA's Summer Dance Intensive Phoenix 2023 is a specially curated two-week on-site dance program that includes classes in different dance techniques, workshops on various dance repertoires/variations, and counseling to provide dance artists with a theatrical dance environment that will assist them in making decisions that align with their career goals. The program will culminate in two gala performances, showcasing the progress participants achieved in the two weeks. All classes, rehearsals, and other activities will take place in Salzburg, Austria, with optional on-campus accommodation*.

This time SIBA extends the invitation to dancers from various backgrounds due to SIBA's belief that dance artists in today's theatrical dance requirements should receive versatile training to produce "the bottom of ballet and the top of contemporary dance." 

​

The program is limited to dancers start the age of 14** with at least three years of consistent training. In 2023, SIBA will offer two levels, Intermediate and Advanced, with instruction from our distinguished faculty. Both levels include ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop dance, as well as in-depth coaching that meet the needs of the theatrical dance field.

 

*Only 45 beds are available this time, and priority will be given to those who pay upfront.

**Students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their legal guardians.

Curriculum

 

SIBA's Summer Dance Intensive Phoenix 2023 contains the following daily curriculum:​

• ballet technique,

• contemporary dance technique,

• hip-hop dance technique,

• workshops on various dance repertoires/variations, and

• in-depth coaching.
